It's Halloween weekend!

1. My Halloween plans this year will include watching football & eating candy.

2. My most memorable Halloween costume was when I was a sandwich.

3. For Halloween this year I'm going to be nothing =/ I have no energy to put together a costume this year. Hopefully next year I will be dressing up a little one.

4. The worst thing about Halloween is is it always seems to be freezing outside so I always had to cover up my costume.

5. The best things about Halloween are carving pumpkins & drinks apple cider & caramel apple pops .

This morning, the cast of The Sound of Music was on Oprah & I was glued to the TV. This is by far the only musical I enjoy watching over & over. I loved seeing the cast years later, grown & sharing stories.

Now I want to watch this movie again for the millionth time & sing along!

This Artsy Mama is going to be a mama!

Yes, over the last two months I have said good-bye to my size 4 jeans, a clear face, my energy & my appetite. This is the real reason my blog has been sitting here a bit lonely & set aside. I have been happy when I get enough energy to get in a shower, let only doing any posts.

All of the lack of energy & the gross morning sickness has been well worth it when I see my little raspberry sized baby's heart beating inside me.

I am so excited to be starting this amazing, new adventure with my husbands & look forward to sharing it with you as well!

Here are a few snapped pics from my big brothers lovely wedding yesterday.

The weather was amazing for a October Sunday in WI.

The venue was fancy & intimate.

The couple was so happy.

The food was amazing.

And everyone danced the night away.

It was a lovely day! I am so glad I got to be apart of their day!

{how to:crochet mug cozy}

I whipped up this mug cozy for a friend today & I thought I would share it cause I think it will make a great gift for all the coffee/tea lovers on your Christmas list.

Start off by making a loop of 6.

Then make 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc total)

Then sc in next sc, then 2 sc in next sc. Repeat around. (18 sc total)

Then sc in next 2 sc, then 2 sc in next sc. Repeat around. (24 sc total)

Then sc in next sc around, only in the back loop. This will create the bottom of your cozy.

Then sc in each sc around for 2 rows.

Then chain one, turn hook around & sc crochet back the way you came from. Leave one sc open. (23 sc total)

Then chain one, turn the hook around again & sc crochet back around. (23 sc total)

Repeat this row 5 to 7 times depending on the height of your mug.

With the ribbon, lay the middle of it on the top of the handle of the mug. Then take the two ribbon ends & string them through the tops of the slit for the handle. Then string it through the handle & tie a bow.

It makes sipping hot chocolate so much more fun!

I can't believe that my brother's wedding is this weekend! These past couple months have flown by in a whirlwind of all things bridal from picking out my bridesmaids dress, to making jewelry, to picking out shoes, to making centerpiece & then of course, all of the bridal showers & parties. This week will be full of last minute preparations & lots of family time.

I am so looking forward to putting on my little dress, my bright heels & having some fun!

Let's just hope it warms up so I don't freeze to death!

It is October already & I can't believe how fast time is flying by! My hubby & I have been booked solid for weeks straight but today was the first day we haven't had a single thing planned & we are loving it!

We got to sleep in, make breakfast, play video games, go shopping, clean & I got to craft even!

In the spirit of all thing autumn, I decided to whip up a fun, new design just in time for Halloween.

These are the only spiders that I consider cute! =)
