{blog it forward}

Today is my blog it forward day & I'm going to share with you what inspires me every day.

All images found on We Love It

I am inspired every day by chubby limbs, soft cooing noises, sweet giggles, little wrinkled feet, warm snuggle buddies, chipmunk cheeks & first smiles that melt your heart. These little loves inspire me everyday to fill my shop with lots of lovely treasures to spoil these little ones with.

Make sure you check out Malia's adorable blog cause she's up next tomorrow!

{feature:Larisa}

Good morning loves!

I would like for you to meet Larisa, a fellow onesies maker! =)

My name is Larisa and I'm 31 years old (still not used to that fact). I've grown up in Los Angeles and was born in Reno, Nevada. My background is in Graphic Design. I have worked in the apparel industry for over 5 years designing graphics for various types of clothing. Another passion of mine is Textile Design. My fascination with the world of pattern and surface design that can be applied to paper goods, wrapping paper, journals, stationary and bedding is one of the reasons why I'm pursuing a Textile/Surface Design certificate at Otis College of Design. While pursuing the certificate program, I design and produce my own organic baby clothing line. My goal is to promote awareness for our environment from a young age in a modern and fun way, and to give mothers an opportunity to dress their children in clothing that makes a positive statement. Other things I also enjoy are: baking, crafting, decorating, knitting, reading, any outdoor activity, music, traveling and discovering new places.

What inspires you most?
I pull a lot of inspiration from things found in nature and organic shapes. I'm also drawn to modern, clean and simple design. Another source of inspiration is other artists. There isn't a day that goes by where I come across another artists' work and get that feeling in my gut where I just want to create create create!

What are your top 5 fave blogs/sites?

Where can we find more of you?

What are you current projects?
Currently, I am working on filling my first order with a boutique called Belly Bliss (http://www.bellybliss.org/) in Colorado. Alongside that, I'm developing new designs for Summer as well as developing a "Mommy & Me" line of onesies and t-shirts for Mom. I also plan to expand the line with oil cloth bibs as well as organic cotton screen printed bibs and burp cloths.

Larisa is giving away this adorable 6-12 month piece onesies!

{how to:felt flower magnet}

Today is my craft day! This is the first Saturday in a very long time that we have had nothing planned so I have been spending the whole day crafting! =)

I have had a bunch of felt laying around so I whipped up this super easy & fun craft to use some of it up so I thought I would share it! These magnets look so amazing & make great Mother's Day gifts! =)

All you need is:
*Fabric Scissors
*Hot glue gun
* Felt
*Magnet
*Button

First:

Then make a slit into each petal like so-

Then grab the base of the beginning petal, place just a bit of glue on it & pinch it together to dry.

Do this on the next petal & repeat until you have done this to all the petals. You may do this to the backside of a few petals to give it a different dimension.

Repeat the last step on all 3 felt pieces.

Then glue the felt pieces together stacking the smallest piece on top.

Glue your magnet to the back & your button to your front & you have a fancy flower magnet!

I apologize for the horrible yellow picture...my kitchen as horrible lighting but isn't my hubby & nephew so cute?! =)

Happy Saturday loves! Enjoy!
