{how to:coffee cozy}

This morning I put together this sweet thank you gift & thought I would share my pattern for this super simple coffee cozy.

I used a size H hook & a thinner yarn.

Start off with 41 chains.

Then connect the two ends with a slip stitch.

Continue to sc around until you have your desired height (about 8-10 rows).

Finish it up by adding a simple felt cut out & you have a super cute gift! =)

I am Cheryl, 27 year old graphic & web designer originally from Boston and now currently living and loving by the shores of New Jersey. I LOVE to travel (near and far!) and often spend weekends scouring flea markets for treasures to up cycle into fabulous new things. I make jewelry, silkscreen, sew and rework garments. What inspires you most?

I find inspiration in absolutely everything! especially since kicking off MissMakesALot, i have been more inclined to photograph little things daily which has helped open my eyes (even wider) to the beautiful things that surround us.

Are you currently working on any projects?

I am always working on new projects! most currently, exploring 4 color silk screening process and juxtaposing it against various mediums - fabric with metal, wood with jewels. in our home studio, my boyfriend and i are kicking off a big collaboration silk screening endeavor, and I'm finding it absolutely wonderful to share a passion for work. it is inspiring.

Isn't Cheryl's work great?! I LOVE this orange necklace...it's definitely on my wishlist! =)

1. The best piece of advice I was ever given was love will find you when you least expect it =) It really is true, I was nowhere near finding someone when my hubby come back into my life & swept me off my feet .

2. If I had a million dollars to give to one charity I would give it to I think I would actually use it to start my own to help victims of sexual abuse .

3. If I got to choose my "last meal" it would be mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, a nice buttery steak & creme brule for dessert .

4. My hair is very crazy, curly that I straighten now that is it shorter but as it gets longer, I'll let it go crazy curly again =) .

5. If at first you don't succeed keep on try. If it's something you really love & desire, you'll make it happen .

6. I have always been very independent & very opinionated .

7. Oh....and by the way.... tell I ever tell you how obsessed I am with the 'Real Housewives'?! I can not get enough of the drama & how riduculous they are! =) .

I'm so excited to start off this week with another feature!

Everyone meet Jolie!

My name is Jolie and I just turned 29. I work as a campaign manager for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training program. It's a great program that trains people from beginners to experienced athletes to complete endurance events such as marathons, half marathons, triathlons and cycle events all while raising money for cancer patient aid and research. I love what I do and the rewarding feeling that my job gives me each and every day!

I love to make crafts of any type. I'm not stuck on one type of project. I'll try just about anything once but I really love crafting with felt. I'm obsessed with reading craft blogs and learning about the latest trends. I love running (when I'm training for something otherwise I get lazy). My hubby and I love to hike, camp and really just be outdoors. I'm also a big reader. I recently joined a book club so I could get introduced to new things and "read outside the box".

What do you like most about blogging?

I love blogging because I would love to write but have trouble finishing what I start. With blogging there is no beginning and no end. You can just kinda start up a blog mid-thought and not only do people not complain, they get it! I love that I can blog about crafts one minute, a movie the next and just post pretty pictures in my next post. My blog is like peek at what's going on inside my head and that's pretty cool. I have so much fun going back and looking at what I was thinking 2 months ago.

What inspires you most?
I find inspiration all around me. I hate when people say that they are intrinsically inspired. That too me is impossible. You would have to walk around with your eyes closed to not be inspired even in just some small way by everything you see. Every person, every blog, every tv show, they are all motivators and inspirations to me.

Are you currently working on any projects?
I'm going to put up some coffee sleeves in my etsy shop soon. I'm really digging the idea of coffee sleeves.

I have spent my lovely Saturday relaxing while my hubby plays zombie video games & had some fun making this mustache onesie. =)

Now off to grill some yummy burgers & finish the meal off with some s'mores!

Yay! It's that time again & I missed out on it last week cause I was so busy =/

1. Today I am wearing comfy jeans & tennis shoes with a light tee & comfy sweatshirt...I need to be comfy cause I gotta go walk over to the doctors offices again =/ .

2. My favorite childhood food was I don't remember =/ and my favorite food now is oh man, I would say probably a lot of comfort foods like mashed potatoes & anything cheesy .

3. A day that I am too busy to take a shower =) is a day that I am too busy.

4. The last movie I saw was Zombieland and the next movie I want to see is The Blind Side .

5. My favorite smell is fresh baked bread because, I'm not a big fan up bread but I love fresh hot bread with loads of melted butter on it...mmmm .

6. A weird little quirk I have is that I always sit on my feet at the dinner table =) .

7. When I take personality quizzes they always say I'm the bossy one =) I like to be in charge .
