{lonely}

I have not seen my hubby since Wednesday night...he left for work yesterday morning while I was still sleeping & got home when I was sleeping. Ditto for today...this wouldn't be so bad but I work at home so I get no human interaction during the week apart from my husband. I have been so lonely that I needed to order a pizza just to talk to someone...

You would think that having all this time to myself would allow me to get some stuff done but nope...I did however read a whole book in 2 days! =)

{adore:buttons}

I stumbled over these last night while cleaning up...aren't they sweet?!
Maybe I'll whip up some onesies with them =)

Happy Friday loves & have a great weekend...I know my will be busy, busy, busy...

{giveaway}

I am so thrilled that Chez Kevito was kind enough to provide this lovely sash to be given away to one lucky winner!
Let's get to know her a bit more-

Chez Kevito is one
designer(female) with over 20 years of designing and sewing expertise.
I don't have any formal training in fashion design.
I only did home ec like most girls at my school while growing up.
I am self taught for the most part.
I hardly ever buy a pattern.
If I need a pattern, I usually make one.
I started making jewelry about a year ago through experimentation.
I obtained a B.A. in biology from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA in 1989.
I love to design and sew.

What inspires you?
My inspiration to design comes from so many different places, anytime, and anywhere. I am inspired by random, unexpected patterns in nature and architecture. I am also inspired by 18th and 19th century design.

{adore:weekend}

Don't you just love a great fun-filled weekend?

Ours was certainly fun-filled & went by too fast...
We spent the weekend getting caught up with the fam, playing lots of games & eating way too much yummy food!

I also got to spend some much needed quality time with my mom...

A bit blurry I know...what do you expect from two giggly girls trying to take a self pic from a Iphone?! =)

Now I will be spending the rest of my weekend-
*fancying up my shop
*returning blog comments (thanks everyone for the sudden booming love)
*onesies, onesies, onesies
*picking out fabric
*getting ready for super fun giveaway tomorrow
*doing mounds & mounds of laundry

{fill in the blank friday}

1. If I could medal in an Olympic event it would be beach volleyball .

2. If I was stranded on a deserted island I'd take my hubby my laptop & a really good book .

3. Heights are my most irrational fear.

4. I'd rather sit at my sewing machine everyday, than work my boring every day job everyday.

5. I am so glad it's Friday & I'm done with work & my parents are coming to visit .

6. I should really be slow down & relax more .

7. One of my favorite things in all the world is Benny & Jerry's Pistachio Pistachio ice cream .

Happy Friday! I hope you all have a great weekend! I know I will!

{lovely jar}

I am in the middle of a huge makeover project. I am re-decorating the whole apartment. Sometimes I get sick of seeing the same thing over & over so I've decided to spice up the place!

Today I started with a very little project to dress up our guest bathroom with. I simply took a jar, put some of my super cute pink soap in it, added a decal & finished it up with a bright pink ribbon.

How cute? This would make a great gift too! =)

{adore:chicago}

I had such a fabulous weekend with my hubby. We drove over to Chicago Saturday morning...

Checked into our lovely hotel with amazing views of the lake...

It was such a lovely hotel with a cozy bed...

And amazing relaxing shower...

Isn't this just the greatest wallpaper for a bathroom?!

We got ready Saturday evening for an amazing V-day dinner which was so delicious...yummy, buttery, tender steak...mmmm

Enjoyed the sights on our long walk to & from dinner...

Yesterday, we woke up to breakfast in bed & got our day going by walking in the cold weather & warming up with lots of coffee & lots of stops in the shops! =)

We definitely had an amazing, fun, relaxing Valentine's Day! I hope you did too!
