So this weekend I was hoping to do a really fun how-to but I wasn't feeling so hot yesterday & I have been spending the weekend on the couch watching Lost & Man vs. Food...weird combination, I know. when you live with a Lost nut with the season premiere in a mere 2 days, you get stuck watching past season the be ready & when I finally get the remote, I watch Man Vs. Food because I love food! =)

Anyway, this means I had a very nonproductive weekend but this past week I did open a new shop called All Odds & Ends. Basically my old shop has turned into a custom onesie shop & I am working on expanding the line & have some really exciting fabrics that I am working with! =)

So to make room for the expanding line, I need to get rid of all my old inventory which is why I created the new store & to help reduce my inventory, I have a deal going on- Take $5 off every $15 purchase!

Did you know that keeping your marshmallows in the frozer keeps them fresh?

Good tip for this time of the year right?! There is nothing better on a cold evening than a mug of hot chocolate loaded with marshmallows!

{missing in action}

I have been MIA for a few days due to my sudden increase in business.

*I had a huge order to make a bunch of lamb soaps for a birthday party that I was finishing up.
*I had 4 orders (10 onesies total) all placed within a half hour of each other last Thursday so I was busy this past weekend finishing those up.
*I am also working out a consignment deal for selling my watch soaps.
*I have also been working on my ad space for Freckled Nest in February.
*I have also been working on my business cards because one of the onesies orders was for a baby shower & the lovely customer wants me to send her lots of business cards so she can hand them out & generate more business for me!


I did however find time to finish up this little guy.

The sun is out & I have been enjoying the last couple days with above 0 temperture. Tt's been pretty nice for a January in the Midwest!

{top 10}

Every year I set goals for myself but I never follow through. This year I decided to try something a little bit different. I waited to start on my goals a few weeks into the new year that way everything would be settled down from the holidays & we would be back to our everyday life. It really has been easier to stick to my goals.

There are my top 10-

1: Start business- I have been working my mind-numbing job for almost 4 years now. I can't complain too much about it cause it does pay the bills but I need to do something more creative & to be my own boss.

2: Grow my hair out- I know...nothing to exciting about this one but I'm sick of my hair & need to do something different with it.

3: Get more followers/readers on my blog- I want to beef up this blog & hopefully get some more readership & blog friends.

4: Exercise every morning- I was a size 2 when I married Jeff & last winter I jumped to a size 6...martial bliss! I've gotten done to a 4 again. Let's just say I find cuter clothes as a size 2-4.

5: Save up even more money- This one is pretty self-explanatory. With the economy the way it is, we all would love to save up our money!

6: Use my sewing machine more- I love to sew & I really need to whip it out more!

7: Cook more exciting food- This one may be tricky since I live & cook for a picky eater but I really want to spice up my cooking & I am up for the challenge of find more exciting food that we both will like.

8: Travel/Explore more- Now that we are in a new place again, we would really like to go out & explore it more & the areas around it...should be fun!

9: Daily Devotion- I want to get back into a daily devotion before bed but I really do have a hard time find a devotion book that I enjoy...I'm open to suggestions!

10: Stop drinking soda- I have been trying this one for awhile now...ooo Mountain Dew...how I love you...wish me luck!
