Do you have a hard time finding party hats to go with your theme??

 

No sweat. Simply purchase whatever sized party hats you find & use paper that goes with your theme to decorate theme. 

 

I could only find these striped hats which really had nothing to do with my zoo party theme so I printed off some animal print paper & cut them up & glue them onto my hats. I also used packing tape to cover the whole hat for extra security.

It is so easy & is a great way to have party hats that match your theme!

My baby turned one yesterday (single tear) so we celebrated on Saturday with family & a day at the zoo & a zoo themed party!

 The party was filled with zoo themed decorations...

Zoo themed sweets...

Party hats...

And party shirts...

Animal tails...

And photo drops!

It was super fun & the birthday boy had lots of fun!

{leg warmers}

The other week, I whipped up & added some new items to my shop including leg warmers!

I have always loved chubby little legs in leg warmers so I have decided to keep making these & added them to the shop! They are just so fun!

{texas: part 2}

The second part of our Texas trip was even more fun!

On our way to Galveston from Dallas, we stopped at Dinosaur World. It was a fun trip where my hubby could pass on his love for dinos to the little man!

Next & final stop was Galveston! We quickly found out we have a beach boy on our hands! He loved the sand & loves the water even more!!

 We stayed right on the beach so we got to spend all day soaking up the sun!

Now we are back home & trying to get settled back into everyday life & trying to adjust to the cooler weather!

 

{texas: part 1}

On Sunday morning at 1:30am, we woke up & packed up the car & headed to the airport to head on down to Dallas for the week! 

When we arrived, we headed over to Cowboys Stadium. Despite the fact that they were running on less then 5 hrs of sleep, we all had an amazing time touring the whole place & running around on the field.

It was a dream come true for me to go to the stadium, now I just need to come back down & see a game there!

Last evening, we headed downtown to ride the trolley which the little man loved! We sat right up front & he took it all in.

It was such a great way to see Dallas & it didn't cost a thing!

Now we are off for more fun in Dallas!

 

{easter}

Yesterday was my little man's first Easter! Here he is enjoying his basket.

 

Today, we are still throwing around plastic eggs & playing with the basket!

Hope you all had a happy Easter too!

{wearable crochet series part 3:chevron necklace}

I can't get enough chevron these days so part 3 of my series is dedicated to it!

Here's how to make your own crocheted chevron necklace:

 

Row 1:chain 18 with black yarn.

dc into 4th chain from hook

dc into next 6 chains

2 dc into next chain

skip a chain & 2 dc into next chain

dc into each chain to the end

For each of the following rows, start off by chaining 3 with new color of yarn & dc into each ch until you get to the first set of dc from previous row. dc in first one, 2 dc in next, 2 dc in next & dc in each ch across.

Attach a chain & you're done!

{summer fun has arrived!!}

Since the weather has been so lovely lately & we are so ready for summer fun around our place...I decide to fill my shop back up with my fun surfboard designs!

Sorry for my absence...we have been out of town & sick & the past week we have been enjoying this record breaking warm weather in Wisconsin...the little man & I can't get enough of stroller rides & swinging these days!

This week I will posting part 3 of my wearable crochet series & it's a good one!

Since this winter has actually been a pretty tame one for Wisconsin, all these sunny, February days are making me want Spring to come!

 And want a better way to kick off Spring then with a pair of fabulous, bright pants!

  

I'm loving the skinny jeans but I also am dying over these wide legged pants as well!

 I must go find myself a pair! Hopefully this is a trend I can pull off & not look like a complete clown!
